The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, in a report issued by it, reviewed the features of the citizen's investment plan for the Menoufia Governorate for the year 21/2022.This is in the context of continuing to announce the citizen’s plan in all governorates of the Republic for the third year in a row, to educate citizens about the directions and priorities of the sustainable development plan for the fiscal year (21/2022), and its role in achieving “Egypt Vision 2030.”Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, stressed that the launch of the "Citizen Investment Plan" reflects the state's keenness to involve citizens in the efforts made to develop the planning and follow-up systems, to achieve sustainable and comprehensive development.El-Said added that all development plans adopted by the state aim to improve the quality of life for citizens, and that this will not be achieved without active community participation, in line with Egypt's Vision 2030. El-Said pointed out that the Ministry of Planning has taken, during the last period, many steps aimed at enhancing transparency and accountability and emphasizing the importance of citizens’ participation in planning and follow-up, including issuing the report “Follow-up to the citizen in the governorates 18/2019 – 19/2020” and launching the mobile application “Sharek 2030” ".Regarding the citizen’s investment plan in Menoufia Governorate, El-Said explained that the number of development projects in the governorate amounts to 317 projects and that the value of public investments directed to the Menoufia governorate in the plan for the year 21/2022 amounted to EGP  5.4 billion.About the sectoral distribution of targeted public investments in the Menoufia Governorate with a plan for the year 21/2022, the report of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development indicated that investments worth EGP 2.6 billion were directed to the housing sector and slum development by 48%.

 Followed by the higher education and scientific research sector with a value of EGP 1.1 billion or 20.4%, and the local development sector with EGP 678 million or 12.6%, then the transport sector with investments amounting to EGP 506 million or 9.4%, and the pre-university education sector EGP 354 3.3 million, or 6.6%, and investments worth EGP 162 million, or 5.7%, belong to other sectors in the governorate.The report pointed out that the most important development goals in the housing sector and the development of slums in Menoufia Governorate in the 21/2022 plan are to direct about  EGP 1.8 billion for drinking water and sanitation services, and the number of development projects in this sector is 146 projects. In the local development sector, the number of development projects is 81, including the project of completing the solid waste system, paving local roads in the governorate centers, in addition to establishing a factory to recycle construction waste in Sadat City. In the field of pre-university education, it aims to implement 13 development projects that include establishing and equipping basic education classes, replacing and renovating basic education schools, in addition to rehabilitating schools.
