"Al-Mashat" reviews partnerships with judicial bodies to expand training and qualification programs for personnel and improve services provided to citizens

"Al-Mashat": Developing human capital and investing in skills is essential to keep up with changes and achieve comprehensive and sustainable development.

H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, participated in the launch event of Egypt’s Public Prosecution's Training Strategy, which was attended by H.E. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, Counselor Mohamed Shawky, the Public Prosecutor of Egypt, a group of senior judges, heads of judicial bodies, representatives of regional and international organizations, as well as presidents of universities and both Egyptian and international academics.

In H.E.’s speech during the discussion session titled "Building Local and International Strategic Partnerships for the Exchange of Expertise and Development of Sustainable Training Programs," Dr. Rania Al-Mashat emphasized Egypt's commitment, under the leadership of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to develop human capital, build individuals, and improve their skills.

H.E. Minister Al-Mashat noted that the development of the individual and enhancing their welfare is a central focus of the new government's program for the next three years. She added that investing in human capital development and skills enhancement is a sustainable investment and the only way to build a society capable of keeping up with ongoing developments and changes. It is not just a goal in itself but also a means and a fundamental base for achieving comprehensive and sustainable development.

H.E. Dr. Al-Mashat highlighted that through qualified and trained human resources, the government can ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services to citizens, increase productivity rates, and stimulate innovation, all of which strengthen competitiveness across various sectors.

H.E. Dr. Al-Mashat affirmed the key role of partnerships, which are a major goal within the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, as they enable countries and institutions to achieve their strategies.

H.E. Dr. Al-Mashat pointed out that the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation considers national coordination and international cooperation as key factors in implementing the ministry's framework. This is done through enhancing partnerships at the national level with ministries, governorates, and various agencies, while also fostering international relations with United Nations organizations and development partners.

H.E. Minister Al-Mashat added that since 2020, the Ministry has been able to create constructive partnerships between national bodies, development partners, civil society, and the private sector in various fields, with a primary focus on investing in human capital and building individuals. This includes efforts in empowering women and girls, providing training and qualification opportunities for young people and cadres in state institutions, as well as offering advanced educational programs in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics for youth.

H.E. Dr. Al-Mashat also referred to key partnerships, such as the technical cooperation program between the State Council and the World Bank to expand training and qualification programs for judicial and administrative personnel.

On the national level, H.E. Dr. Al-Mashat mentioned the ministry's implementation of the judicial governance project in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice since February 2022, within the context of the ministry’s role in governance, administrative development, and preparing and qualifying human resources as part of Egypt’s Vision 2030. She noted the graduation of 38 female and male judges from the governance and anti-corruption diploma under the judicial governance project. She emphasized that the ministry continues its efforts and effective partnerships at both the national and international levels to enhance competitiveness in various sectors and drive development efforts.

H.E. Dr. Al-Mashat also pointed to the Ministry's launch of two projects at the beginning of this year: the electronic voting project and the complaints and performance measurement program at the esteemed Administrative Prosecution Authority, in accordance with a joint protocol for technical support and information systems development. This includes the development of the comprehensive information infrastructure program using the latest IT technologies and the implementation plan for election processes.

H.E. Dr. Al-Mashat concluded her speech by emphasizing that the Egyptian Public Prosecution’s launch of its training strategy and the digital educational platform represents a significant step toward institutionalizing continuous training and innovation, which will strengthen the justice system and keep pace with rapid changes at both the local and international levels.
