Main / Media / News / Planning Ministry Unveils Government Performance Enhancement Project Results

13 April 2024

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development has issued a report on the Government Performance Enhancement Project, conducted in collaboration with the Administrative Prosecution Authority.

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, the Minister of Planning and Economic Development, explained that the project’s vision aims to improve the performance of public facilities across the country. She added that it seeks to enhance the quality of life for Egyptian citizens through evaluating and measuring government performance. Additionally, it supports decision-makers with factual data that contributes to improving the performance of public employees and government entities. Furthermore, it provides support mechanisms for members of the Administrative Prosecution Authority in executing their tasks.

Meanwhile, Mr. Ashraf Abdel-Hafez, the Minister’s Assistant for Digital Transformation, clarified that the Government Performance Enhancement Project is divided into three sections: developing the complaints and performance measurement system, enhancing disciplinary justice database rules, and training.

The ministry’s report addressed the three sections, starting with the development of the complaints and performance measurement system by the Administrative Prosecution Authority. This ensures easy submission and tracking of citizen complaints through the number 16117. It also allows the use of mobile applications for the Administrative Prosecution Authority complaints system on Android or iOS systems, as well as the possibility of sending a message via Telegram or a voice message through the number 1411.

Regarding the development of the disciplinary justice database, the report indicated ongoing analysis of the work environment in the offices of the Administrative Prosecution Authority for disciplinary decisions or judgments to fully develop the database. Additionally, archiving of offices storing documents related to penalties and disciplinary judgments is targeted, with a focus on issuing a disciplinary status report for employees in the state administrative apparatus.

Regarding training, the report noted that a training course was held for female members of the Administrative Prosecution Authority in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development to enhance computer skills, with approximately 27 trainees being trained.
